When it comes to engineering, Jamshedpur has always been fortunate to give the best of the best in IIT-JEE and this time again Steel City have proved their mettle in the IIT- JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains 2017. 400 engineering aspirants out of the total 8000 from Jamshedpur had qualified to appear in JEE Advanced. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the JEE Mains results on Thursday.
Mohit Gupta, a student of DAV Public School, Bistupur, secured a score of 325 out of 360 in the IIT-JEE Mains 2017 to become the state topper of Jharkhand.
“It is my dream to study Computer Science at IIT Bombay and I want to do even better in IIT JEE Advance. My performance is an outcome of hard work and dedication” said Mohit.
“My parents have always been a constant support. Apart from them, I would like to thank all my teachers who have helped me achieve this, especially Vikas Tank Sir from Prerna Classes, who has been a great mentor to me” Mohit was quoted saying.
Students who cracked JEE Mains will now appear for JEE Advanced in May. Pramod Dubey, director of Prerna Classes, a leading coaching centre for JEE in the city said that the eligibility for Advanced will only be the cut offs. We are still downloading the results and we are yet to analyse the same. I guess the low cut off this year has helped many students.
Team SimplyJSR wishes every engineering aspirants who qualified for the mains a great luck for the advanced exam’s. For the ones who didn’t, there is something great waiting for you too in life.
